Sourcing

From the Central Highlands to your port

Our Da Nang office sits a short drive from Vietnam’s main robusta provinces, so we see the coffee before it ships.

Where it grows

Our robusta comes from the red basalt soils of Đắk Lắk, Gia Lai and Kon Tum. The area around Buôn Ma Thuột in Đắk Lắk is the heart of Vietnamese coffee and the reason Vietnam is the world’s largest robusta producer.

How it is processed

Cherries are dried, hulled, then screen-sorted and color-sorted at partner mills. Grade 1 lots are wet polished for a clean, uniform bean. Fine Robusta is made from red-cherry-picked coffee, processed natural or honey.

Harvest and shipping season

The robusta harvest runs from October to January, peaking in November and December. New-crop coffee is usually the best value; we also ship year-round from warehouse stock.
